Readyforthedraft.com's Gregg Schutze shares his passion for the NFL draft and takes you on a journey leading up to the 2024 NFL Draft.
It's time to begin breaking down the conference matchups and identify the draft-eligible prospects playing a key role. I'll also give my thoughts on how those prospects will position each team during the season. It's time to take a look at the Big 10, a conference that has made noise during the offseason by adding Oregon and Washington to a new roster that already includes USC and UCLA for 2024. In the final season with 14 teams, the question is are you Team Ohio State or Team Michigan? Ohio State has so many draft-eligible prospects worthy of consideration in the first two days of the draft, including two, Marvin Harrison Jr. and Emeka Egbuka, as potential top-10 picks. Michigan has a proven commodity at QB in JJ McCarthy, who has a shot to be the 3rd QB off the board in April. The Wolverines will boast one of the nation's top running games with a line that has six NFL-worthy OL and two RB's who could come off the board early on Day 2 of the draft in Blake Corum and Donovan Edwards. Who will emerge from the West Division? Will it be Iowa with its vaunted defense and an improved offense led by former Wolverine Cade McNamara? Or will Luke Fickell and Phil Longo be able to change the game offensively in Wisconsin to position the Badgers as a contender? Will Nebraska and Purdue be much improved under Matt Rhule and Ryan Walters?
