Episode 6 - Ready for the Draft 2023 Podcast Series

Week 1 of the College Football season is finally here and it may be my favorite season next to draft season of course. With so many matchups over five days of action, I decided to divide my review into two podcast, dedicating Episode 6 to the games on Thursday and Friday.

But first, I recap Northwestern's upset win against Nebraska in Dublin, Ireland where Peter Skoronski put on a show and solidified himself as a top OT prospect with a chance at the top 10. I also talk about five other games I tuned in to see, including Illinois throttling Wyoming 38-6 while being led by RB Chase Brown and Vandy getting a much-needed jumpstart to their season with a 63-10 win over Hawaii with Mike Wright's athleticism under center and Anfernee Orji and Maxwell Worship leading the way defensively.

Thursday games to look at include Central Michigan heading to Stillwater against Oklahoma State, the ex-USC QB matchup of Pittsburgh's Kedon Slovis and West Virginia's JT Daniels in the Backyard Brawl, a B1G showdown with Penn State taking on Purdue and Mizzou hosting LA Tech.

On Friday, Michigan State hosts Western Michigan, Old Dominion and their talented skill position trio of Blake Watson, Ali Jennings and Zack Kuntz host Virginia Tech, Illinois looks to start the season 2-0 traveling to Bloomington to take on the Hoosiers and TCU is hoping to get the connection going early and often between Max Duggan and Quentin Johnston as they take on the Colorado Buffaloes.
